• David Dinkins, former mayor has cited EPRA as a “job training service which has made a significant contribution to the quality of life in New York City.” 
  

• In honor of 20 years of achievement, Mayor Rudolph Guiliani proclaimed April 1, 1998 as “Employment Program for Recovered Alcoholics Day” in New York City.
  

• In June, 2000, the Metro New York Chapter of the National Rehabilitation Association presented the "Rehabilitation Program of Distinction Award" to EPRA.

EPRA’s accomplishments have also been recognized by the professional field.

• The National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism has commented that “EPRA is an innovative system linkage between alcohol and other drug treatment providers and the vocational rehabilitation community.” 

• The New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services identifies EPRA as a unique model in which “services are organized using a full-day structured approach in a discrete environment conducive to creating a work-like milieu.”
